“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
Colossians 3:14
Love is often described as a feeling, but Scripture describes it as something we put on. Something we choose, day by day.
This verse comes after a list of qualities like kindness, patience, humility, and forgiveness. Love is what holds them together. Without love, these things fall apart. With love, they begin to make sense.
Love in action often looks simple. It looks like listening instead of reacting. Giving grace instead of assuming the worst. Choosing patience when it would be easier to rush.
These moments rarely feel dramatic. They often go unnoticed. But this is where faith becomes real.
God is not asking for grand displays. He is asking for love that shows up consistently. Love that holds your words, your choices, and your reactions together.
This week, notice the small places where love can lead. The conversation you approach with more care. The situation where you choose gentleness. These are not small things. This is love at work.
Prayer: God, help me choose love in the small moments this week. Shape my words and actions with Your kindness. Amen.
