STEADY IN THE SMALL THINGS: Luke 16:10

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

Luke 16:10

Many days do not feel important. They look like routine. The same work, the same responsibilities, the same quiet effort that often goes unnoticed.

It can be easy to think that only big moments matter. Big opportunities. Big changes. Big accomplishments. But Jesus often points our attention somewhere else.

He points to the small things.

This verse reminds us that faithfulness is built in ordinary places. In the tasks no one sees. In the effort that feels repetitive. In the quiet decision to keep doing what is right.

God cares about the way we live in the everyday moments. The way we show up at work. The way we treat people. The way we carry responsibility when no one is watching.

These things might feel small to us, but they are not small to God.

Trust grows when we practice it in ordinary life. Integrity grows when we choose it again and again. Over time, those quiet choices shape who we become.

If today feels ordinary, take heart. Faithfulness is not about waiting for a big moment. It is about showing up well in the moment you are already in.

God sees the small things. And none of them are wasted.

Prayer: God, help me stay faithful in the small things today. Teach me to honour You in the ordinary parts of life. Amen.
