PEACE IN A NOISY WORLD: John 14:27

PEACE IN A NOISY WORLD: John 14:27

“Peace, I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” John 14:27

Peace can feel difficult to hold onto. The world moves quickly. News, messages, expectations, and responsibilities all compete for our attention.

In the middle of that noise, Jesus offers something different. Real peace.

This peace does not depend on circumstances going perfectly. It does not rely on everything being calm around us.

It comes from knowing who we belong to.

Jesus says His peace is different from the kind the world offers. The world often promises peace through control. If everything is organised, predictable, and successful, then maybe we will feel calm.

But life rarely stays that tidy.

God’s peace works in the opposite direction. It steadies us from the inside. Even when situations feel uncertain.

This week, notice what fills your mind and your schedule. Notice the moments when stress begins to rise.

Then return to this promise. Jesus has already given you peace. You are not trying to create it. You are receiving it.

Prayer: Jesus, help me receive the peace You offer. Quiet my thoughts and steady my heart today. Amen.
