āYou have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise. You perceive my thoughts from afar.ā
Psalm 139:1-2
Most of us only show certain parts of ourselves to other people.
We show the parts that feel easy to explain. The parts that seem calm, capable, and put together. We may hide the doubts, the worries, and the thoughts we donāt think others would understand.
But nothing about us is hidden from God.
Psalm 139 says He has searched us and knows us. He knows our routines, our thoughts, our strengths, and our struggles.
At first, that can sound uncomfortable. Being fully known can feel risky. What if the truth about us changes the way we are loved?
With God, it does not.
He already knows every part of you, and He has not turned away.
He knows the thought you did not say out loud. He knows the pressure you have been carrying. He knows the questions you are still afraid to ask.
He also knows the care you give that no one notices. He sees the small steps of faith. He knows when you are trying, even when the result is not perfect.
Godās love is not based on a polished version of you. It reaches the real you.
This means you can come to Him honestly. You do not need to clean up your prayers or pretend that everything is fine.
You can bring Him confusion, disappointment, hope, gratitude, and fear.
Being fully known by God is not a threat. It is a safe place.
There is no hidden part of you that makes Him stop loving you.
You are known completely and loved completely.
Prayer: God, thank You for knowing every part of me and loving me still. Help me come to You with honesty and trust. Amen.
